Lazar Levine & Felix Passes PCAOB Inspection
In accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of
2002, the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB)
conducted an inspection of Lazar Levine & Felix LLP ("LLF") in
October and November of 2007. We are happy to announce that, as
per the draft report received from the PCAOB dated January 14,
2008 "The engagement reviews did not identify any audit
performance issues that, in the inspection team's view, resulted
in the Firm failing to obtain sufficient competent evidential
matter to support its opinion in the issuer's financial
statements."
The
PCAOB, which is sometimes referred to as "Peek-a-boo" is a
private-sector, non-profit corporation created by the
Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002 to oversee the auditors of public
companies.

Jay B. Goldberg, CPA, a Partner with the firm

position of Treasurer of the Worldwide Children's Foundation of
New York (WWCF).

Eric J. Barr Elected as President-Elect of the
Jewish Community Housing Corporation
Eric J. Barr, a Partner in the Firm of Lazar Levine & Felix,
LLP, has been elected as the President-Elect of the Jewish
Community Housing Corporation (JCHC) of
West Orange,
NJ as of June 1, 2007. The term lasts one
year and precedes Eric’s three-year term as President of the
organization.

Jeffrey J. Stern Re-elected as President of the NLSSA
We are proud to announce that Jeffrey J. Stern, the Director of

has been re-elected as President of the National Litigation
Support Society of America.
Jeffrey, who is the first President to hold the position
for two consecutive years, will hold the position from June 1,

office as they combined both their Parsippany, NJ and Morristown, NJ
offices into one location. The office, which is located at 65 Madison Avenue in Morristown, NJ,
now houses about 30 Partners and staff. The approximately 1800
sq. ft. expansion was created to make room for the commercial
litigation department that was formerly located in the
Parsippany, NJ office.
