Larry McDermott, CPA Participates in Daily News Tax Panel, Again

For the past few years the Lazar Levine & Felix, LLP tax department has participated in the Daily News Annual Tax Hotline which is held in March. This year's event was held on Monday and Tuesday, March 24 and 25 from 11 am to 5 pm.

The tax hotline is comprised of members of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA) from various firms who have volunteered their time to answer tax questions from callers, live.  This is especially unique as the tax hotline is held during the height of tax season and it is therefore very generous of all of the volunteers to give up their time to answer question regarding this complicated topic.

This year, our very own Larry McDermott, a manager in our New York office's tax department, spent almost 2 hours fielding calls with the other volunteers on topics ranging from the government's economic stimulus package to whether you can file a return without a W-2.
