  • Review public information including audited financial statements, Forms 10-K and 10-Q, press releases, and analysts’ reports, and provide preliminary assessments regarding the merits of litigation claims. Conduct research and assist in drafting or responding to complaints, interrogatories, and document production requests. Provide expert affidavits in connection with pre-trial hearings regarding the merits of claims and reasonableness of discovery requests.

  • Examine auditor work papers and evaluate compliance with GAAS, PCAOB, and other professional standards.

  • Examine documents relating to complex transactions and/or accounting/tax issues and determine if treatment and disclosure in audited financial statements, public filings, and/or tax returns complies with GAAP, SEC and/or IRS guidelines.

  • Assist in depositions of key fact witnesses and opposing experts.

  • Prepare expert reports and provide expert testimony and other in-court assistance to counsel.

  • Prepare economic and statistical models for estimating damages.

  • Provide expert consulting and testimony services on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants in a variety of securities litigation and professional malpractice cases.
